MAADS Committees
Education Committee - organizes and promotes one conference a year for each of the following disciplines: Activity, Administrative, Nursing and Social Work. Develop other educational programs as requested by the membership.
Legislative and Public Policy Committee - Keeps the Association informed of legislation and other public policy developments in the area of adult day services. Develops a proactive legislative agenda including but not limited to draft legislation, key member programs and meetings with Maryland’s administrative and legislative officials. Reviews and disseminates information to the membership relating to government affairs on both the state and national levels.
Membership and Public Relations Committee shall coordinate membership activities for recruitment and development of services for retention. Disseminate information to the general public about day care services and shall coordinate activities that encourage public support of adult day services. Maintain the association’s website and other membership material.
Regulatory Committee - Analyzes proposed regulations and develops Association positions for recommendation to regulatory agencies. Maintains a proactive relationship with the Office of Health Care Quality and other state agencies.
